Sandoz, a Novartis group company, is a global leader in the field of generic pharmaceuticals, offering a wide array of high quality and affordable products, that are no longer protected by patents. Sandoz has made a series of targeted acquisitions to strengthen its product portfolio, technological expertise and geographic presence.

In order to reinforce recognition and consolidate local integrations on Romanian market of PharmaTech, Lek, Biochemie and Hexal we have decided to bring Sandoz global brand back to Romania. This initiative capitalized on the strong reputation of the Sandoz name, which has a high level of awareness and trust among physicians, pharmacists and patients.

We are pleased to inform you that as of today 28th of February 2006,

the name of the company S.C. Lek PharmaTech S.R.L. has officially changed to
S.C. Sandoz S.R.L.

Below is a summary of what this change means for you:

The following remain unchanged:

• Our contact information (addresses/phone numbers/faxes/e-mail addresses)
• Our fiscal code, registration number to the Trade Register, bank details
• Product codes

The following have being changed:

• All our official documents (communication documents, invoices, bills, letterheads, business cards, envelopes, fax papers, contracts, presentations etc.) will bear Sandoz logo
• For a short period, all payments will be made on the name of Sandoz Romania, even the invoice bears the name LekPharmatech S.R.L.
• This re-branding will be reflected in all our activities, including our corporate image, communications and web site
• Product brands will be changed in the following way: when Hexal is included in the name of the product, it will be changed to Sandoz over time (for example, AmbroHexal will become AmbroSandoz)
• By early 2008, our packaging, labels, information sheets will be modified according to Sandoz standards and design. For more information concerning transition steps please visit our web site www.sandoz.ro
• During the transition period , may be a difference between the names of products received and the names of products on delivery slips and /or invoices. For example, you may receive AmbroSandoz, while the description of the product on the purchase order is AmbroHexal. This is only a temporary situation during transition period.

We would kindly ask you to make ensuing changes to your records and forward this document to anyone who may require this information.
